The start of the Ninties see Alvin without a record label and doing live shows around the country. Then in 1994 a glam revival sees package tours of Original 70s acts being in demand and sell out tours alongside Showaddywaddy, Suzi Quatro, Mud, Mungo Jerry, The Rubettes etc follow for the next four years. Alvin also takes on the role of the baddy in Pantomine every Xmas. TV appearances in Quiz shows such as Shooting Stars, Never Mind The Buzzcocks etc keep him in the public gaze.

During this decade he also starred in the musical David Copperfield, playing Uriah Heep, did a nationwide tour in “Rock Hard”  and played another pub landlord in “Hollyoakes”. On channel four.

1996 sees Alvin going back to his youth and a live recording of his album The Birth Of Rock & Roll is made at Ronnies Scotts Nightclub. 1997 sees him playing Alvin The Landord in the comedy series “The Grimleys” staring  alongside Amanda Holden, Brian Conley & Noddy Holder.
